Warwickshire register offices
The county has some unusually characterful ceremony rooms:
- Warwick: two historic buildings. St John’s House is a Jacobean mansion with wood-panelled rooms (up to 40 guests), and the Judges’ House is a Grade II-listed Georgian house next to the old Crown Court.
- Stratford-upon-Avon: the Henley Room, in a Tudor-style building next to Shakespeare’s Birthplace, seating 35.
- Rugby: the Bloxam Room, the former town council chamber, seating up to 50.
- Nuneaton: the Heritage Room in Riversley Park, seating up to 50, with riverside walks and flower beds for photos.
Old buildings like these are brilliant for photos, but rooms can be small and light can be low. I’m a natural-light photographer, so I work quietly with the light that’s there and keep out of everyone’s way.
What to expect from me
With 10 years in the wedding industry behind me, my approach is simple: plan carefully, then relax and enjoy it with you. I’ll gather your group shots quickly, steal you away for a few relaxed portraits, then go back to capturing your guests having a great time.
