Swallows Nest Barn sits in the Warwickshire countryside at Sherbourne, close to Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon and Royal Leamington Spa and on the edge of the Cotswolds. I’ve photographed weddings here, so if you’re planning yours, here’s a quick guide to the venue and how I approach the day.

About the venue

Wedding Photography Packages

Exclusive use: the venue is yours for the whole day.
Ceremonies inside and out: licensed for civil weddings, civil partnerships and naming ceremonies indoors and outdoors, with the option of a humanist ceremony. Civil ceremonies are carried out by registrars from the Warwick Registration Office, whom you book yourselves.
Religious weddings: if you marry in church, you can hold your reception at the barn afterwards.
Capacity: seating for up to 120 guests, and up to 150 in the evening.
Food and drink: in-house catering, a dedicated bar in the main barn, and a bar and music licence until midnight.
Accessibility: full disabled access.

Welcome drinks can be served in the glass-fronted barn next to the main barn or outside in the walled courtyard, and the meal is served in the main barn. Details change, so check the latest with the venue at swallowsnestbarn.co.uk.

Photographing a wedding at Swallows Nest Barn

It’s a setting that really suits a relaxed, documentary approach. A glass-fronted barn lets in lovely soft light for drinks and candid photos, a walled courtyard gives a sheltered spot for family groups, and the surrounding countryside is ideal for a few quiet minutes of couple portraits away from your guests.

My style is simple: I stay in the background, capture what really happens, and keep the posed photos quick and fun. I’ve spent 10 years in the wedding industry, and I plan every wedding with a call and a questionnaire, so I’ll know your timings and your group-shot list before I arrive.

Packages

Prices start at £999 for a six-hour Part Day with approximately 300 edited photos. Full Day packages include 600+ edited photos. A £100 non-refundable deposit, deducted from your package price, secures your date. Bespoke quotes are available for smaller weddings, and I’m now booking 2027 and 2028.

Travel within 25 road miles of Bromsgrove is included. Send me your date and I’ll confirm whether any travel cost applies for Sherbourne.
