Redhouse Barn Wedding Photographer
You can’t pose laughter.
Redhouse Barn is on Shaw Lane at Stoke Prior, a few minutes south of Bromsgrove, and I’ve photographed weddings there. It’s an exclusive-use barn venue that mixes traditional barn character with contemporary design, which makes it a great setting for natural, documentary-style photography.
About Redhouse Barn
- Exclusive use: the barns and grounds are reserved entirely for you and your guests.
- Purpose-built for weddings: designed to flow from morning preparations through to the evening.
- Ceremonies inside or out: licensed for civil ceremonies, with up to 165 guests indoors across the barn spaces, or outside in the landscaped gardens.
- Capacity: up to 165 for a formal dinner and up to 250 for the evening party.
- On site: in-house catering and drinks, a honeymoon suite and a guest house for close family and friends.
Venue facts are from Redhouse Barn’s website (October 2026), so check the latest with the venue.
Photo spots and light
Barns suit the way I work. Big spaces, timber and soft daylight mean I can photograph the speeches and the dancing naturally, without making the room feel like a photo shoot. The landscaped gardens give us an open backdrop for an outdoor ceremony, family groups and a short stroll for couple portraits, with countryside all around.
How I’d approach the day
Because everything happens in one place, the day flows easily. I follow along quietly, catching the morning nerves, the walk down the aisle and the laughter in the evening, and only step forward to organise the group photos. Your planning questionnaire tells me exactly who needs to be in them, so they’re done quickly.
Practical tips
- If you’re choosing between an indoor and outdoor ceremony, keep the barn as your wet-weather plan and tell me early so we can plan group shots for either.
- If close family stay in the guest house, morning preparation photos are easy to fit in.
