Bennetts Willow Barn Wedding Photographer
You can’t pose laughter.
Bennetts Willow Barn is a family-run working dairy farm at Lower Wick, on the edge of Worcester, and I’ve photographed weddings there. It’s all about fun over formal, with festival-style weddings, garden games and a yurt marquee, which is exactly the kind of day my candid style was made for.
About the venue
- The barn: a rustic, light space for a licensed indoor ceremony (up to 100 seated) and an evening party for up to 150.
- The yurt marquee: oak-framed and styled with bunting, fairy lights and chandeliers, seating up to 140 for your meal.
- The garden: space for an outdoor ceremony, with croquet, limbo and giant Jenga for guests.
- Stay on site: Mongolian-style glamping yurts with views of the Malvern Hills.
- Family friendly: space for children to play, and a dog-friendly venue.

Light and photo spots
Festival-style weddings are a gift for a documentary photographer. Lawn games, children running about and guests letting their hair down give me endless real moments to catch. Fairy lights in the yurt make the evening glow, and the open farmland around the venue is perfect for a few quiet minutes of portraits as the sun goes down.
How I’d approach the day
I keep the formal part short and fun: a quick round of family groups, a few portraits, then back to the party. The rest of the time I’m moving around the barn, garden and yurt, photographing your day as it really is, from the first drink to the last dance.
Practical tips
- If you’d like confetti or sparklers, tell me on our planning call so I can make time and find the best spot.
- Glamping yurts are handy for the wedding party, and they make getting-ready photos easy too.
